Tur are a beautiful mountain species inhabiting the rugged Caucasus Mountains of Southern Russia. Tur have been much sought after and highly prized in Europe for many years. They are equal in stature to any of the mountain sheep species and are now equally prized trophies in all continents.

At this time they are a modestly priced hunt, but I predict that in a few years, with the current commercialization of the hunting industry, prices will double.

Hunting Season
August 1 - November 15 with the best hunting after mid-August. Hunting for additional species
including Red Stag, Grizzly, and Chamois is also better in September and October.

Hunt Location:
Hunts originate from Vladikavkaz in the Caucasus Mountains, a two-hour flight from Moscow.

Accommodations and Hunting:
Lodging is very nice, from European style hunting lodges with full amenities. Each morning the hunters are up early and breakfasted before heading to the mountain hunting areas. In many cases the hunters can get into the hunting area by 4X4 vehicle. Much of the hunting and the final stalk are done on foot. Oftentimes hunting is done from smaller spike camps are located throughout the mountains.

• Day 1   Arrive to Moscow and overnight hotel.
• Day 2   Fly to Vladikavkaz and transfer to the hunting area, rest.
• Day 3-8   Your 6-day hunt.
• Day 9   Return to Moscow and overnight hotel.
